I heard a strange interview on the radio this morning and I feel the need to share people's stupidity with others.
It seems that this girl* is marrying this guy in a couple of weeks in Texas. They have known each other for several months, from what I could discern from the interview. The wedding is scheduled and invitations sent out. They met on the messed up world that is myspace.com and have never even met each other in person. NEVER. The first time they will see each other is when she walks down the aisle. Oh, and she will be wearing a veil so that he won't even really see her until he lifts it up.
That's messed up ya'll.
*CAREFUL - her page doesn't have nudity, but it may not necessarily be safe for work either. His page is probably tame enough, though, and you can see a picture of her. But her page is way, way more amusing and lame.
And one more thing - after you look at the pages you'll really appreciate this comment from the girl - she claims the marriage is going to work because God is at the center of their relationship. (The female radio announcer was awesome. She was all, "uh, whatever. Promise you'll call when you get a divorce." She was even going to go to the wedding just to watch the spectacle of it all.)

Nik! I heard it too! (I love Kidd Kraddick!) She sounded like a major dominatrix/control freak. Myspace freaks me out. I looked around on it for a while and decided that it was definitely not for me.

i can't believe you heard it too! i was just scanning the stations and got sucked in. i can't believe his aunt is giving him an heirloom ring to give to a girl he met online only months ago and has never even met!
that site isn't safe for ANY environment.
