Change of Scenery

Sitting at my desk in my room in my house for the last time. In just a couple of hours I'll load up my stuff and say goodbye to my nook, my window, and my queen-size bed. My landlady is selling the house and we've all got to vacate by Sunday. I'll be temporarily moving in with Debbie since the other two guys living with her are out of the country. Then, in three weeks, I'm off for three straight weeks of sun, surf, and God-only-knows-what-else. And after that, it's goodbye to the land down under! Time has flown by...

There is adventure to be had before then, so let's not get weepy just yet. Tonight my friend, Guy, and I are headed to Tasmania until Tuesday! It will be nice to get out of the city, no matter what, but below are some things I am really hoping to see:

Tasmanian Devil: ain't he cute, ya'll?

Wineglass Bay: too bad it will be too cold to swim. I wonder if I'd get drunk?

Cadbury Chocolate Factory!!!

On a totally different note, I know everyone has seen the video of Lindsay Lohan calling Paris Hilton a "cunt," right? If you haven't, you seriously should watch it. It made me laugh out loud this morning. The way she is clearly basking in the glow of the cameras, then smiles coyly to herself as she says the words, then totally gets stunned when she realizes it's on film. Classic.

My favorite part, though, is Eliot Mintz (Hilton's publicist) at the end saying, "I get tremendous delight and energy from the sustenance of these lovely ladies." What the hell is he talking about? Dirty, dirty man.

Seriously though, the way the paparazzi are taunting her with her name and putting arms into her car gives me the creeps.
