Total Shocker...Not.

I'm stealing a page from Amber's blog and posting about this msn.com article that tells you about yourself based on your favorite crushes from movies. I don't think any of you will be surprised at the result:

The Bad Boy: George Clooney in Ocean’s Thirteen, Colin Farrell in Miami Vice, and Johnny Depp in Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End

What you’re really looking for: Someone who is exciting, adventurous, and even a little bit dangerous. This guy lives life on the edge, and if you’re with him, you’ll get the opportunity to take a walk on the wild side right along with him.

The Love Doctor weighs in: “A woman who is professionally successful and highly achievement-oriented is often attracted to a bad boy, because being with someone who is unreliable and spontaneous — her complete opposite — is very exciting and sexy. Because he’s not someone to settle down with, in choosing him you communicate that you aren’t yet ready for a quality relationship. Instead, you are looking for fun and probably feeling the need for a little rebelliousness. You might even be a bit unhappy, but not ready yet to look at your life. You haven’t yet realized that your heart will pump faster when you find someone who is similar, not your opposite.”

Hmmm...any of you that have known me for awhile will know that I've liked the bad boy since, I dunno, at least age 7 when I developed my very first crush on Maverick in Top Gun. This pattern has never faltered from Donnie in NKOTB to Dylan on 90210 to James Franco's character in Spiderman movies.

"Probably feeling the need for a little rebelliousness," I'll totally buy, but even at 7 years old I was fucked up? Have I always been "a bit unhappy" and "not ready yet to look at [my] life?" At 7 years old??

I dunno, well, maybe - because I do remember that my dog had puppies and my parents made me give away my favorite of the bunch. That was pretty upsetting. See, you'd better be careful parents - the smallest little thing and your kids could end up having a thing for bad boys....

Let us know your pick (boys go here - although really your choices are pretty crap, worse than ours, in my opinion - then again I'm not a guy, but no Natalie Portman? I digress and procrastinate. Back to the Bar (exam, not drinking)).

Remember when Tom Cruise was hot...those were the good ole days.

I don't know that there's so much a match here for me (if there were it would be The Sensitive Guy), but there's definitely an antithesis: Brad Pitt in Troy. Egh. I loathe that movie, that performance, that character. I am not a warrior.

P.S. What would it mean if my type were "Boy Wizard"??

oh really, anonymous? because i would've thought a bad boy would beat someone up to defend a girl's honor, not tap on a girl's window, drunk, at 6am begging her to cuddle.

Ash, if your type is Boy Wizard, I'm afraid you might need my professional services sometime in the future. Perhaps legally hot, angst-ridden, unexpected hero would be a better classification?

I fear my tastes are also for the "bad boy" - George Clooney was always my favorite.

Russell Crowe is one of my all-time favorites as well - and let's just say he's not going to win any brownie points for being a mild-mannered sort of guy.
