I've been in a great mood for about a week now, so I suppose it was only a matter of time before I began feeling bitter and hateful again. Some people are kind of funny when they're hateful...not naming names, but one of them has red hair and used to live with me. Me - not so much.
The primary cause of hatefulness is a case set for next week that's bugging me, and feelings of anxiety about how in the hell do I do it won't go away...thus causing most of my Sunday to be spent preparing as best I can. Then there is/are:
* Dirty pants - like ALL of them. Thank you broken washing machine.
* Cold feet and hands. Thank you November rain.
* Asshole man smoking a cigarette who made fun of my dog. "That dog minds pretty good, don't he?" Shut up asshole. I know you think you're funny, but I'm pissy and you need to go back inside and leave me alone. He actually DOES behave pretty well; he just gets excited around new people and other dogs. Oh, and he's only five fucking months old, so yeah, he's not a perfect angel. Ha fucking ha.
* Smelly dog (yeah, I could bathe him, but what's the point? He gets re-smelly in like 24 hours, so I'm saving the effort for closer to his neuter appointment on Thursday because I'm too lazy to do it twice. Also, there's a drought and we should conserve water.)
* Lack of Grey's Anatomy to ease the pissy
* Lack of alcohol in the house (I drank it all last night. Whoops.)
* Chapped lips from hike yesterday in the Great Dismal Swamp
I could go on, but I don't want to sound like a whiny baby or anything : )

You don't have to name names, but I'm pretty sure that red head is also super hot! And you did have moments of being funny while hateful. This post is one of them! And I know what will make you feel better--Icee run at scary ass 7-Eleven!
Love it - thank you for being brave enough to post just after Thanksgiving.
For all my glow-y family time, I am so ready to get in the car tomorrow morning, turn up Ray LaMontagne, and be isolated from everyone for twenty minutes.
i'm sorry, but did it occur to you that you might have been hateful, not because of the reasons you listed in detail, but because you spent a day hiking in something called the GREAT DISMAL SWAMP?!
i'm sure some of that dismal swamp gas seeped into your pores. how could it not?
did you see any orcs or gollums on your way to mordor?
