Milestones

I feel remiss posting this without pictures, but I'm feeling lazy, so I promise pictures within the week.

Yesterday marked a full week since Masala has had an accident in the house. Despite his never-ending quest to find things to chew that piss me off, he does seem to be growing up a wee little bit.

The other day at the park he fetched a tennis ball for the very first time! He will play fetch for about 2.7 minutes with random toys, but not balls. At the park when we play with balls it usually consists of me throwing it, him running to get it, him sitting down to chew on it, and then him scampering away from me when I try to take it back. But the other day, he did it exactly like he was supposed to. I praised him and petted and made a huge deal about it. Of course, the very next toss was back to the old way of doing things, but at least he's not a lost cause yet. (Can you imagine the embarrassment...a retriever that won't retrieve!?)
