So much to report on today that I left work early to come home and blog about it! (Also, I *might* have gotten a little bit tipsy last night and feel slightly awful today, in addition to not really reporting last night.)
* That Wimbledon re-match I alluded to last night won't be happening. Federer was upset by some American player I've never heard of. (I know it's not very patriotic of me, but I do feel bad for Federer. I do like him, just not as much as Nadal.) The women's singles tennis also will not be a Wimbledon re-match, as BOTH Williams sisters were also defeated at the Olympics.
* OH SNAP. The AP dug up some news story from several months ago stating that one of the Chinese female gymnasts is 13 years old. I am currently obsessed with this piece of information and have psychotically roved the internet seeking out more.
* I can relate to this wrestler's poor sportsmanship. I'm not saying I would've thrown my bronze medal down, but damn if my uber-competitive self wouldn't be somewhat angry not to have the gold.
* I read somewhere today that Michael Phelps consumes 12,000 calories per day. TWELVE. THOUSAND. That's almost more calories than I eat in a week. He eats like 2 pounds of pasta, lots of cheese, lots of pizza, and still has the most perfect body in the world. I hate him for this.
* Women's all-around competition tonight - I'm rooting for Nasty, but how can you not love that cutie-pie Shawn?
* Jenn mentioned the Olympic sleep disorder, and I'm just wondering if I'm the only one thinking of catching a daily early evening/late afternoon nap so that I can make it through the broadcast.

I caught a nap earlier this evening so I can make it through the end of the women's all-around tonight. :)
I thought the wrestler's behavior was horrendous. I mean, I'm competitive, too, but to throw a medal on the ground? They should take it away from him just for that. It makes me really glad he didn't get the gold.
