One of the very best television shows is not getting cancelled. Yesterday Variety reported that NBC and DirecTV renewed their one-of-a-kind deal for not just one, but TWO more 13 episode seasons of Friday Night Lights.
I'm not quite sure what this means for recent graduates Riggins, Saracen, and Lyla, but I don't really care. I was not ready to say goodbye just yet, because this most recent season was awesome.

Do you have DirectTV? We're still in the middle of the season on NBC. It's so good! And I hate football!
I liked the way they handled Jason Street and Smash's departures. Surely they can do just as well for Riggins, Saracen, and Lyla Garrity. (I like saying both the Garrity's full names, they have a good ring.)
Also, on a related note, I have a burning desire for the full-on Tyra haircut. Mine is close, but the back needs to be shorter. Should I trust Super-Cuts? It seems like a small job...
My comment was longer than your post. Sorry. But I seriously need to discuss FNL with someone! Not enough people watch it. They're missing out.
Heck no, I don't even have cable! A friend of mine was very kind and taped his DVR'd FNL (entire season) and about a month ago I had the best marathon weekend of all time. Loved it. Loved it. Let me know when you see the finale.
I also like the handling of Street and Smash, but I have to say I'm not so sure about these new grads. Do I really want to watch an entire season of JD, Julie, and Landry?? Um...not so much. Where's the brooding hotness? The smart-sensitive jock? I might not care if we just pretended they all failed but got to keep their eligibility!
And get this - as I'm typing this Saracen's mom is on LOST! How cool is that?!
Yes to the Tyra haircut! Maybe No to SuperCuts? I always had bad experiences even with trims at those type places...of course, if you have a go-to girl that you can trust, then go for it!
You should check out Slate's discussions of this season of FNL - they help me get over my burning need to discuss b/c not enough people watch.

So true, about the next class. Little JD is going to have to grow up some. Maybe that's why they're talking about redistricting, to bring in new blood? But then again, I haven't seen the finale yet.
Better Saracen's mom than Saracen's grandma, on lost. That plot is killing me!
Yeah, I'm thinking no to Supercuts. I've got to go to my usual girl, even if she does charge a mint.
