New Version of Me
There's a longer post swimming around in my head about this, but I'm far too tired to let it out coherently.
Spent most of the day at the beach with good friends after a night out partying until 6am. My hair is slowly making its way back blonde. It's prime time for flip flops, tank tops, and skirts. My skin is a golden tan. For the first time in a long time, I'm feeling like me. I can't help but feel that my internal existential crisis has been entangled with my outward appearance, but like the chicken and the egg, I can't tell you which came first.
All I know is that today, yesterday, last weekend, I've seen glimpses of the girl I remember from Australia, the me I want to be, carefree, spontaneous. . .happy.
And damn, I didn't know how much I missed Felicity until I searched for this title sequence. Fucking good tv show, JJ Abrams before he got LOST or had an Alias. Must seek out entire 4 seasons on DVD immediately.

I'm glad you are finding yourself - and your happiness! - again! You're too awesome not to know it yourself.
(* and thank you, because the kids have been watching Bedtime Stories with Adam Sandler and I couldn't remember Keri Russel's name until just now!)
God, yes. Felicity fabulousness. One day we'll marathon it.
And Cheers to the reclaiming of You!
Felicity was one of the best shows ever. I own the first season and pretty much no it by heart. I watch it the most during my insecure moments and when I am feeling down - felicity is just inspiring and the saga of ben vs. nohl(can't spell) is just addicting - soundtrack is a good one for going on a walk and clearing your head
This post made me so incredibly happy. I heart you.
Welcome back, Nik!
So glad you're back to blonde, and you! And I had almost the exact same reaction to watching Sex & the City the other day.
