green with envy

that little slut. i knew i should've turned my cell phone off when i remembered, except that it would've made a beep and the probability of a phone call in the middle of class was slim to none. of course, i forgot about it. around about 6:00, to my embarassment, the bugger goes off and i must exclaim quiet "sorries" to the library patrons around me. although i kindly whisper, "i'm in the library, hold on, i'm going to the bathroom," she does not wait for me to get there before shouting, "you'll never guess what just happened. i just met matt damon. i just ran right into him on the street!" she gets all the luck. meanwhile, i sit on a tattered bench in the odiforous library restroom salivating with jealousy while she gives me the play by play.

sure, once i met joshua jackson and got my picture made, but he ain't really of oscar-winning caliber, is he? in fact, where is he? where he isn't is filming a movie on my friend's street in d.c., which matt so happens to be. no doubt by the end of taping T and matt will be bff's, in which case i'll be cool by association. in any case, at least now i have a small advantage in the "six degrees of kevin bacon" game because i can link to matt damon through tempe - i haven't worked out how that helps me get to bacon yet, but i'm sure that it does.

in the spirit of the kevin bacon game, can anyone work out a connection, in six links or less, between pauly shore and john laroquette? just curious.

at any rate, congratulations, tempe, you heifer. i don't know how tuesday could surpass monday, but here's hoping it does. by thursday (birthday) you should be the madame to a whole gaggle of hollywood hotties! in other exciting news yesterday i finished my cite check, went to book club, and read some evidence. good times.
