returned from blissful, yet somewhat painful, beach vacation with family. i feel compelled to warn you that the rumors are true: you CAN get sunburned on an extremely overcast day where it sprinkles intermittently, despite the fact that a blip of yellow never appeared on the skyline. absurd yes, but sunscreen is prudent lest you be forced into wearing turtlenecks and long pants in the middle of summer, and not for a hickey-related incident.
unfortunately for me, but perhaps fortunately for my readers, my return to virginia from florida was not without events worthy of nik's notes banter. however, i think you may be surprised at the positive tone of the post rather than the cynicism and whine usually exhibited that you've all come to know and love. before i get there, though, i've got sleep and australia b.s. to catch up on, so it may be a couple of days.
sigh. sunburned at the beach = way better than sunburned at the office, even if my hair does look better after a wash in normal water.
