After putting away my groceries, I promptly began making the Krispies Treats - that's how serious this craving was. I don't understand it; I mean, I haven't had these in ages, so I can't imagine what made me want them. At any rate, it was a serious need that had to met.
That was about 9 hours ago. About a third of the pan is already gone, eaten mostly by me (and a teensy bit by Amber). During the NCAA Basketball Championship, I hope I don't use my nervous energy to eat up to half the pan.
If you want some childhood nostalgia and a relatively low-fat treat, I would recommend taking the 15 minutes to make these babies. If, on the other hand, you are like me and are trying to get into shape for Beach Week, stay away. Stay far, far away.
He looks sweet, but he's a sneaky little devil - there's crack in those krispies.

Mmmm. . . that is very tempting (and, luckily, I am definitely not trying to get in shape for Beach Week).
damn you and your devilsh temptations. I was perfectly fine not thinking about these in ages myself. Great, now I might have to give in to the craving. Although, I'm lazy and think I might would just get the pre-made kind? But, somehow, I know that wouldn't provide the same satisfaction as the warm gooey fresh out of the oven version. . ymmmm. damnit!
there's only 1/2 a pan now. thanks to me and my tape worm!
