My friend Jennifer works for a great non-profit program in St. Louis, Missouri. Life Skills helps over 1,400 people with disabilities get jobs, own homes, and become active members in the community at large.
Next Saturday, April 21st, Jenn is participating in Life Skills' annual 5k Run/walk benefit. She emailed family and friends graciously asking for support, and I thought I could help her out an extra bit by publicizing her cause on the blog.
If you'd like to help Jenn and Life Skills, please head over to their website. Scroll down to "Make a Donation as a Runner in Spirit" and be sure to note that you are sponsoring Jennifer O. Any size of donation is greatly appreciated - even if you can only spare $5!
Thanks, guys!
On a related note, I was emailed just the other day that our final project from Share the Love was finally completely funded! A grade school classroom in San Jose, California now will have props to enhance their dramatic readings. Thanks again to all the bloggers who supported that project and all the others during Valentine's Day Share the Love! The classroom teacher had this to say in an email:
Thank you very much for the contribution to my classroom. My students love to perform and act out stories. I will use the costumes and props for my regular class, my English language development class, and my after-school tutoring club. This gift will benefit nearly 100 students this year and many more for years to come. Sincerely, Ms. Parker

Thanks so much, Nik! (Sorry, my Internet has been down for a while or I would have thanked you sooner!)
