I awake from my unintentional blogging winter hibernation to bring you this, a pretty cute Saturday Night Live skit featuring New Moon hottie Taylor Lautner:
“The secret to living the life of your dreams is to start living the life of your dreams now, to any degree that you can.” ~ The Universe "

V Addict
It's Sunday afternoon around 1:45pm. I am still wearing my glasses, the fugliest (and most comfy) sweatshirt of all time, and my favorite pink sweatpants. Masala has still not been taken for a walk despite the afternoon hour, which has never happened in his 2 year life.
You see, my life has gone to shit ever since I started watching True Blood. This weekend was supposed to be productive at both work and home, due to being gone 3 days last weekend in West Palm Beach and being gone 3 days this upcoming week in Raleigh for a work conference. But the True Blood. . .I cannot stop watching.
Now I'm all out of episodes, when I thought there were 14, not 12, and at a loss for what to do. I'm an addict without a fix. If only Lafayette lived around here, I bet he could hook a sister up.
Things I have neglected while "using":
* Masala
* A stack of files almost 2 feet high at work
* Gym
* Dirty kitchen
* Grocery shopping
* Laundry, laundry, laundry
* Sweeping
* Bathing
* Sleeping
* Football
* Friends

Christmas came early!
One of the very best television shows is not getting cancelled. Yesterday Variety reported that NBC and DirecTV renewed their one-of-a-kind deal for not just one, but TWO more 13 episode seasons of Friday Night Lights.
I'm not quite sure what this means for recent graduates Riggins, Saracen, and Lyla, but I don't really care. I was not ready to say goodbye just yet, because this most recent season was awesome.

On The Bachelor
I'll come right out and say it: I loathe the concept for The Bachelor entirely. Everything about it makes my skin crawl. I used to think that it would be awesome to finagle my way onto the show and refuse the rose when "The Bachelor" offered it to me - assuming I curried enough favor to win said rose (In fact, I think a chick did this once, and she will forever be my hero.)
SPOILER ALERT: IN CASE ANY OF YOU WATCH THE BACHELOR
But because I read gobs of celebrity trash gossip, I was nearly immediately informed about the driz-ama that happened on last night's episode. Let me tell you guys - it did nothing except make me want to run to abc.com and watch the hell out of it. Unsurprisingly, a very large number of viewers are vowing never to watch again because of the awfulness and "fakeness" of it all. (Say it ain't so! Reality TV isn't real? Or don't a large portion of these same viewers watch The Hills?)
In case you haven't heard, The Bachelor, aka Jason, picked Melissa on the finale. Did the whole proposal song and dance yada, yada, yada. Then on the 6-weeks-later "After the Final Rose" special or whatever, the place they talk about how in love they are and why she won his heart and all that mushy bullshit, he dumps Melissa on national TV and goes begging to the runner-up, Molly. I'm not kidding.
I mean, really, I don't care if this is fake or real, this is TV genius. Ok. So I do care if it's real, because that's a terrible, awful, no-one-deserves-that thing to do to a person, to break up with them on live television (But um, hello, she is clearly going to be the next Bachelorette, so whatever, don't cry too many tears for Melissa). If it's fake, though, WHY HAVEN'T THEY THOUGHT OF THIS BEFORE? Of course, now it's been done, so they've got to come up with more twists, but holy hell, this adds a whole dimension of drama the likes of Gossip Girl and 90210. I just might have to give this show a second look.
Oh, who am I kidding, I'm not watching this garbage, but I'm totally watching that last "After the rose" special or whatever. And blogging about it. I have clearly sunk to a new low.
Don't lie, you totally want to watch a clip, too.

Who Have I Become?!
I am waaaayyy too excited about the upcoming season of Dancing with the Stars. Jewel! Shawn Johnson from Team USA Gymnastics! Jewel's husband! Li'l Kim! Not to mention my crush on both siblings, Julianne and Derek Hough.
Sigh.
Seriously. I looked at promo pics today. I don't do that for, like, anything.

Mind v. Body
What I'd really like to do right now is guzzle half a bottle of wine and go to bed.
No wine on the premises right now, so the first half of that equation is out. I could go to bed, but it's Thursday night - Grey's night. Since I'm still in the 20th century and do not yet have a DVR, and the internets is a week behind in watching at abc.com, I'm going to have to stay up until 10pm in order to get my fix.
My body is having none of this. My body is all, "must. sleep. immediately."
Tonight's fun adventure, then, will be who wins, and how far I make it.
Stay tuned. I'll post if I make it past Grey's. If I don't post again, well, wish me sweet, sweet dreams.
UPDATE: I made it!
SPOILER ALERT - DO NOT READ FURTHER IF YOU HAVEN'T WATCH GREY'S YET!!!!!
* WTF Denny?? Why are you making me and Izzie cry?
* Meredith and Derek are totally cute, and completely boring
* What's up with the Hahn storyline? I know they fired that chick all-of-a-sudden, but what's the real deal? Seriously because of lesbian story? I don't buy it. Anyway, I never really liked Hahn and Torres, so I'm ok with her gone, but the story doesn't fit, abrupt.
* Karev, I love you.
* Not sure how I feel about Lexi and Sloane
* Dr. former-Lucius-Vorenus and Yang need to do it already
* I read an interview that said Isiah Washington would be willing to come back to the show, and I'd die for more Burke action. I loved Burke.
* Who's the chick with the accent? I missed the first 60-90 seconds.
